Jimmy sat at the edge of the pond, near the water, throwing pebbles over its smooth surface.

He heard a rustle of approaching footsteps and suddenly felt a pair of trembling hands land on the flat of his shoulders. It was Kit.

Kit got down on his knees behind Jimmy’s back, his hands wandering towards Jimmy’s torso, suddenly so resolute and forceful. Jimmy sat still, taken aback. He felt Kit’s heated body press against him and his dick reacted immediately to it, no matter how hard he was commanding it not to.

Jimmy turned his head to look at the boy, overcoming a sudden surge of fear. He was fearful of what he might see in the boy’s eyes. And he was afraid of what his own eyes might give out. But he looked anyway. And their eyes met.

“Kit–” Jimmy muttered, in his weak attempt to protest. “I don’t–”

Kit put his fingers over Jimmy’s mouth, shutting him up. Where did that confidence come from? The boy looked so timid before. Now he wasn’t giving Jimmy even a chance to object.

“Don’t talk,” Kit whispered and leaned in to kiss him, slowly, uncertainly. Their lips met for a split second and then parted just as suddenly. All Jimmy registered was a touch of warmness, softness. It wasn’t anything but a glimpse. It wasn’t weak enough to be neutral. But it wasn’t strong enough to relieve his desire. He was left wanting more. That was all he was. A man on the brink of a chasm, uncertain if he wanted to make a step forward or not.

He leaned forward, searching that prematurely severed contact, and their lips met again, for a longer period of time this time. This time it wasn’t neutral. It was exhilarating. Feverish. Ardent.

The next time their lips parted, Jimmy heard a barely audible moan escape Kit’s mouth. Jimmy’s dick did not take long to react to that, taking a more solid shape in his pants.

He looked at the boy, who was breathing in rapid gasps, his hand resting against Jimmy’s chest. He was shaking.

“Don’t tell me I’m the first person you’ve kissed,” Jimmy said.

Kit looked down for a second, and then looked right in Jimmy’s eyes. The blue of his eyes met the red of Jimmy’s, complimenting each other, balancing each other out. Much like that blue rivulet among red thirsty rocks in the canyon. It belonged there. It was meant to be there. Same as Kit was meant to be in Jimmy’s arms. Both boys felt it so sharply now.

“You are,” Kit whispered. The look in his eyes was so pure and innocent. So fragile and yet so strong. It turned Jimmy on so much he wanted to scream. He couldn’t resist it any longer. He was only human.

Never in his life did he resist something so badly before. Never in his life did he want so much not to. He wanted to let it go. Let it be, whatever it was. If only he wasn’t so afraid to hurt the boy.
